1970s Bradley Custom, Fuji-Gen Gakki
Here we have another example of the infamous “lawsuit” era Japanese guitar. This one is a Bradley Custom built at the same Fuji-Gen Gakki factory as the Ibanez lawsuits. Bradley was the house electric brand of Veneman’s Music Emporium, and they imported some models from Japan, like this one. As you might expect, this guitar features the same bolt-on neck and chambered laminate body as an Ibanez lawsuit. This guitar is in great shape, with a straight neck and a decent amount of life left in the frets. There are some scratches and dings on the body and some tarnishing on the gold hardware, with the biggest blemish being a scratch across the lower bout near the tail-piece. The guitar has a nice sound to it, with a warm neck sound and a fairly reserved bridge sound. After a deep clean and set-up from our tech, this guitar plays wonderfully and would be an awesome player’s piece or collector’s item for any lover of lawsuit era Japanese guitars. Ships in its original hardshell case.
