1973 Fender Stratocaster, Sunburst
Here we have a 1973 Fender Stratocaster in sunburst finish, with quite a few modifications. This guitar is definitive ‘70s Strat, with a large headstock, a three bolt plate, and a bullet truss rod. Some of the modifications include Sperzel tuners, a brass nut, and a pre-loaded pickguard with Fender noiseless Strat pick-ups. These pick-ups may lack some of the grit and gusto of a period set, but they are squeaky clean and easy to control. The guitar has its fair share of nicks and dings, including some buckle rash on the back and some checking on the headstock lacquer. The frets show some wear from years of play, but they do have a good amount of life left in them. The instrument has also been deep cleaned and set-up by our in-house luthier and plays wonderfully with a nice low action. All told, this Strat is a great pick for any player looking for vintage feel that won’t break the bank and is begging for custom mods and a gigging life. Ships in a hard-shell case.
