Masaru Matano has been producing manufactured classical guitars since 1962 in attempt to bring luthier level quality to factory guitars. Known in some circles for their high quality to price ratio, it seems that Matano has achieved that goal, and this piece is no exception. This 1978 Class 600 classical has a solid cedar top, a rosewood back and sides, and an ebony fretboard, all assembled for excellent sound and playability. This instrument has a nice well rounded and aged voice, with just a little more bite from the treble that really makes the melody cut. The neck is fast and responsive and very easy to play, making this guitar an excellent choice for an affordable recital instrument. The guitar is in great condition with only some finish clouding on the back and sides. Ships in a hard-shell case.
