1982 Fender Bullet H2, Walnut
Toward the end of the 1970s, Fender was looking to make a change to its American-made entry level option from the Music Master and the Mustang. To this end they introduced the Bullet series student guitars, with single cutaway bodies and plastic pickguards. This 1982 Bullet H2 is part of the model’s second series, when Fender went for a more Strat-like look and multi-ply pickguards. Though these guitars were marketed as student instruments, this axe plays like a professional’s guitar, with plenty of tonal options and a thin, fast neck. The covered humbuckers have a great fullness to them and with a push of a button you can tap the coils and belt out nice Stratocaster tones. The walnut finish is super clean with only some light scratches and a small dent on the lower treble-side bout. The biggest cosmetic issue would that the top three tuners have some rust and scrapes on the outer casings, but despite this they still function fine. Overall this guitar is in great shape and plays fantastically! Ships in its original hard-shell case.
