1983 Kramer Pacer Deluxe, White
This is a 1983 Kramer Pacer Deluxe, with a black pickguard on white finish. The Pacer series began as the Pacer Imperial in 1981, with two humbuckers and a S style body. By 1983, Kramer had released the Pacer Deluxe, complete with an HSS pick-up format and a Floyd Rose tremolo, causing many to consider the Pacer Deluxe to be one of the first “Super Strats”. A little later in ‘83, Kramer added coil-tap switches to the Deluxe. This is one of the later Pacer Deluxes, with a black original Floyd Rose (missing trem bar), a Schaller humbucker with allen head poles, and a coil-tap. This piece is very clean and in fabulous playing shape, with only some pick scratches on the guard, a ding on the lower horn, and a ding on the back of the neck. The Schaller humbucker has been described as “brown” by some, and it certainly brings early Van Halen to mind with some distortion. The maple fretboard is very comfortable and easy to play, though there are some divots beginning to form on the lower frets. This guitar is a perfect choice for anyone looking for a classic shred sound and ships in its original hardshell case.
