Here we have a 1985 Peavey Patriot in white finish with a black pick-guard. These guitars were considered some of the best economic options for players in the ‘80s, and it’s easy to see why! This guitar has a two-piece “bi-laminated” rock maple neck and comfortable medium nickel-silver frets. The body is roughly Strat shaped, but the feel of the guitar is a little different because it has a 24 ¾” scale length. The crown jewel of the guitar, in this writer’s opinion, is the pair of “Super Ferrite” single coil pick-ups. These odd little wonders are ceramic blade magnets with a fabulous tone described by some as a cross between a Tele pick-up and a P-90, and this is a more than fair comparison! With a silky neck sound and a nice honky snap from the bridge, this humble little guitar will provide a wide range of tones for any player. Condition-wise, the guitar has very few blemishes to speak of, save for the pick scratches on pick-guard; the guitar was very well kept by its previous owner. Ships in its original plastic hard-case with original owner’s manual and warranty information.
