Who knew a Tele could be so tonally versatile? This 1997 Fender California Fat Telecaster features a fabulous twist to the formula; a humbucking neck pick-up and a 5-way switch. The addition of the switch allows players to utilize the whole humbucker (5th pos.), coil tap it (4th), neck and bridge (middle), coil tapped neck and bridge (2nd), and bridge alone (1st). The DH-1 humbucker sounds awesome, and really opens up the possibilities for the classic model while retaining the original tones that made it famous. The maple board is fast and responsive, making for a wonderful tactile experience. The piece is also in fine condition, with the hardly a mark on the top finish. The only real aesthetic issues are some bubbling on the chrome control panel, some scratches on the pick-up cover, a paint chip on the treble-side body, and some marks on the fret-board lacquer. If you are looking for a real Swiss Army Knife of a Tele than look no further than this beauty! Ships in its original hard-shell case.
