In 1993, Gibson released a guitar that was a far cry away from their norm; a thin, solid body electric with a five-way selector called the Nighthawk. With a lower gain slanted humbucker in the bridge and a mini humbucker in the neck, this guitar produces more mellow tones than a Les Paul, and the 25 ½” scale length gives it a markedly different feel. The selector splits the coils of the humbuckers, allowing for single coil tones from this versatile axe. The gold hardware is a bit oxidized on this piece, but still looks sharp against the Trans-Amber finish. There are some bumps and dings on her, mostly on the back and one pretty good chip off the headstock on the bass side. Aside from those blemishes, this guitar is in great shape and plays wonderfully; a real player’s piece to be sure. Ships in its original hard-shell case.
