2000 Fender Floyd Rose Special Stratocaster
Here we have a very special Strat, a Floyd Rose Special Strat HSS from the year 2000. In 1991, revolutionary designer Floyd Rose entered into a contract with Fender to produce a line of Strats with his original locking tremolo. This piece comes with Kluson style tuners on a smaller, vintage style headstock which combined with the Vintage White finish, gives this guitar a classic look. Down south, however, this guitar has a modern update with a Floyd Rose Original bridge, perfect for all of your pitch-bending needs with plenty of tuning stability. This guitar also had its Fender humbucker replaced with a DiMarzio humbucker for a beefy, huge sound and two American Standard single coils for that classic Strat tone. An important note on the bridge, while it does lock and bend pitch lower, it does not float and thus will not bend pitch higher. Condition-wise, this instrument has some marks of use on the body and the fretboard has begun shrinking just a bit, but neither of these affect playability. There is also a slight twist in the neck that is causing some buzzing, but not to a terribly distracting degree. This guitar has also had its volume pot replaced, but it does ship in its original molded plastic case.
