Here we have a fine example of vintage Japanese guitars, an Apollo branded solid body electric made by Fujigen. Fujigen would later come to great fame as a producer of Fender instruments, but during the ‘60s they were alongside Teisco in making wild instruments for the massive guitar market of the time. This instrument features an abundance of pick-ups, knobs, and switches that make ‘60s Japanese guitars desirable though it is missing its bridge plate. Not just for show, the excess of electronic controls gives this guitar vast tonal possibilities, and the guitar plays great to boot. Probably most stunning of all, this guitar still has its original hard case, though it does have some wear. The guitar also has some wear, with some paint chips on the sides and pick-guards and some finish cracking at the neck joint. Overall, though, this guitar is in good condition and is ready to rock!
