Here we have an Ernie Ball Earthwood acoustic guitar with a maple neck and fretboard. Ernie Ball sought to create acoustic guitars with the least non-wood parts as possible, with wooden pick-gaurds, truss rod covers, and neck plates. On that note, another wild innovation with the Earthwood guitars is the bolt on neck, making the neck feel a lot like an electric, with plenty of clearance at the neck joint. Also out of the ordinary, this guitar has a THICK body depth, coming in at just under 5 1/2 inches, making for some great resonance. The instrument has a great sound to go with that playabillity and feels great too. The look of the bound fretboard and the rosewood pickguard is handsome against the natural finish, that has sustained a little bit checking from age. Ships in an acoustic bass hard-shell case.
