Here we have quite the oddball from Fender, the HMT, or Heavy Metal Telecaster. The name and sleek black looks make it obvious what Fender was going for here; a Telecaster that appealed to the Metal scene of the late '80s and early '90s. With Grover tuners and a pair of humbuckers, this guitar is capable of some great metal sounds, but with the added style of a thinline body with an f-hole. As is the case with most Teles, this guitar is very versatile and is not limited to its named genre. It has some cosmetic blemishes, but the neck is very straight and smooth. A definite head-turner, this Tele would be a great addition to any Fender enthusiasts arsenal. Ships in its original hard-shell case.
