This is a mid-80s Stratocaster, made in Japan with a Floyd Rose tremolo system. This piece has been heavily modded, with the additions of a blade humbucker in the bridge position, the floating trem, and, we suspect, a refinish. The instrument plays well, with an excellent high gain sound from the added humbucker, and some classic Strat tones from the neck and middle. It does show signs of wear, particularly in the neck plate and tuners which are rusting and peeling. The finish is in decent shape, with some dings and scuffs on the top and back and on the pick-guard. It is also missing its string retention bar and had to have a rough replacement screw to hold the whammy bar in place. Despite all that, after a deep clean and set-up by our in-house tech, it is still a fine players instrument and might be a good candidate for a project guitar. Ships in a gig-bag.
