Fender Muscimaster 1960 owned by Marty Stuart
Here we have a vintage Fender Musicmaster made way back in 1960. This particular instrument was owned by Country and Western guitarist Marty Stuart. The Musicmaster was originally designed as a student instrument, but it also gained popularity with professionals like Marty Stuart. Marty Stuart gained fame as a member of Johnny Cash's backing band and went on to some success as a solo artist. Marty tended to favor Fenders, and this instrument was part of his arsenal for a time. This instrument must have served him well as it shows many signs of wear and use. The neck is straight, but the body is pretty beat up and appears well used in its long life. Despite its character, this guitar still plays well and is ready to continue its life of playing.
