Here we have a Gibson ES-335TD from 1974 in Walnut finish. The ES-335 was the world’s first commercial thinline archtop electric guitar and is considered by many to be the gold standard for the type. The ES-335TDs (TD meaning Thinline semi-hollow, Double pickups) were at the top of the heap, and this piece is one of that line. This guitar comes with two T-bucker pick-ups, Kluson Deluxe tuners, and even has its original pick-guard. The neck feels very good and the action is nice and low but with minimal buzz. With years of play this guitar did pick up some character marks, with some light checking on the body, some scrapes and scuffs on the back, and some finish cracking on the headstock. There are also a few small dents on the neck and some pitting on the chrome, but none of this does anything to affect playability. All in all this guitar is in very good condition and is ready to rock! Ships in its original hard-shell case, which does have considerable wear to the outer lining.
