Here we have another mahogany monster from Gibson, a 1977 Les Paul Custom in wine red finish. This instrument is every bit of Les Paul we know and love, with that classic hefty body and two hot T-buckers. This instrument has seen a long life filled with lots of playing; this shows in the ebony fretboard which has some significant finger indentations in the first few positions. The body finish has some nicks and bumps, but the most significant is on the back of the neck, on which some of the finish has been worn away. The parts appear to be all original with the exception of the bridge and the input jack plate; the original bridge is in the case. This guitar could also have had a rewire, as a metal cover was placed over the pots, which have been dated to 1977. All in all, this guitar is in very good condition and ships in its original hard-shell case, which has one damaged buckle and some road wear.
