Here we have a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in beautiful cherryburst finish. During the 1970s, the Les Paul Standard was replaced by the Les Paul Deluxe, which come with two mini-humbuckers, instead of PAF style pick-ups. These mini-humbuckers proved much less desirable and it shows in this piece, which has had them replaced with standard sized DiMarzios. This guitar has also had its Kluson tuners replaced with Grovers. Having had a long life of music, this guitar shows signs of wear with dings and scratches on the body and two finish chips on the back of the neck, but despite this it still plays and feels great. The DiMarzio pick-ups sound great, with a nice bite in the bridge and a mellow smoothness in the neck. The neck feels good; not too thin or too thick, and with a nice low action. Ships in a Roadrunner hard case.
