Hagstrom Swede c.1970s

Here we have a Swede by Hagstrom from the 1970s. Though it may appear to be a Les Paul look-a-like this guitar comes from a nearly century old tradition of Swedish designed instruments. Hagstrom is a proud company that seeks to combine its traditions and unique innovations in all their products.

From a vintage add for this very model:

Equipped with two anti-hum highly sensitive pick-ups, equalizer control giving sharp, mellow or deep tone instantly, slim wide ebony neck designed to give you loads of stretch room. The contoured back is shaped to fit you. With Hagstrom's world patented H expander stabilizer (which eliminates the problem of neck warpage) and a perfect intonation bridge with the ability to adjust each string horizontally and vertically, you have the ultimate. The said equalizer switch on this guitar has actually been moved by a previous owner to the upper horn and replaced by a master volume knob. The routing was very well done, and the electronics work perfectly. Cosmetically, it does have some character, with dings in the back of the neck and the body; it also had a reglue on the bridge pick-up mount. This guitar has a great chunky roar to it and sounds great with some ‘70s style distortion. The instrument is in very good condition and ready to rock!
