Produced for only 2 years between 1983 and 1984, Ibanez’s AM-50 thinline electric was meant to be an affordable dual humbucker hollowbody option. This instrument has a bound laminated maple body in Brown Sunburst finish with chrome hardware. Its previous owners must have been tough on it, as it has some considerable wear on the fretboard binding at the first fret from what looks to have been a ballpoint pen. The body and headstock also have decent wear, with some scratches and chipped paint in various spots. There is also finish cracking around the set-neck joint, but all these imperfections are merely aesthetic and do not affect playability. This guitar has a comfortable neck and the dual cutaways allow for uninhibited reach toward the higher frets. The guitar also has a nice, classic sound to it but is still quite versatile. This instrument is in very good condition and ships with a gigbag.
