Ibanez RG470, Copper
This is an Ibanez RG470 from 1999 in a striking Copper finish. With a thin profile neck and floating tremolo, this guitar was made for metal and it is perfect for just that. The frets are nice and fat for easy runs up and down the board, and after a set-up and deep clean from our tech, the action is set perfectly for comfortable play. There are some chips and dings from years of play but structurally it is wholly sound. Speaking of sound, the pick-ups are Ibanez’s proprietary V series, with a V7 in the neck, a V8 in the bridge, and an S1 in the middle to round things out. Though the V8 is not the most popular of bridge pick-ups, it has a very treble-full sound that makes for a nice chimey feel. The V7, on the other hand, is a very full and rich neck pick-up, with plenty of low end response. All told, this is a fine guitar for anyone looking for a metal guitar on a budget with striking looks. Don’t pass it up! Ships in a gigbag
