Here we have Kay Value Leader thin-line electric guitar from 1961. These instruments were originally manufactured as low-end starter guitars, which makes sense given this guitar’s very light weight. This guitar has unfortunately had a custom hardware finish in what appears to be gold spray paint, but fortunately all the electronics still work fine. The neck on this instrument is fat for an electric, but it’s still very playable. The sound of the pick-ups is neutral, but it does have some nice clean tones. The neck and body finish is in decent shape with some checking all over and some bumps and paint chips, especially toward the bottom of the body. All in all the instrument is in good condition and ships in a soft-shell case.
