Here we have a Kent 741 electric guitar, made in Japan in the 1960s. A far cry from the cheap and numerous instruments normally associated with Japanese vintage, the 700 series were finely made instruments with classy designs rather then crazy. The pick-ups and controls on this instrument are indeed overwhelming, but a previous owner apparently had enough and simplified the wiring into a Gibson style pick-up switch and only one volume and tone knob for all pick-ups. This instrument has a wonderful sound from its neck pick-up and great playability from the fast neck. There is checking on the top and some bumps and dings on the neck, but these are merely aesthetic issues and do not affect playability. Sorry, no case on this one.
