This is a Kingston branded hollowbody electric guitar made by the Matsumoku company in the 1960s. Motsumoku did not produce from one of the major factories in Japan and instead had its own plant originally built for cabinetry. Because of this, Motsumoku was known the produce high quality instruments due to their experience with wood work. This instrument is in good structural shape, with a straight neck that is very large and feels substantial in the hands. The body is in decent condition, but it does have some checking on the finish and some cracks on the back. The guitar has a decent sound unplugged and in a nice amp. It is unfortunately missing its whammy bar and its pickguard.
