Larrivee OM-03R 2003
Born in the heart of the hippie revolution, Larrivee has been making fine acoustic instruments with the best woods available since 1967. Under the tutelage of German master luthier Edgar Munch Sr., Jean Larrivee learned the art of classical guitar building, but the burgeoning folk scene of the time drew him towards steel strings, where the company has been ever since. Here we have a fine example of Larrivee craftsmanship with this 2003 OM-03R. This instrument is a gorgeous piece, with Indian Rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, and a really beautiful piece of Sitka Spruce for the soundboard. This guitar has a great booming sound, especially considering its size. There is a real warmth to it, but it is also punchy at the same time. The guitar is in near-mint condition, with a straight neck and a very well preserved satin finish. Ships in its original hard-shell case.
