PRS CE 22 Prototype No. 1 1993

PRS

31G00547

Here we have a truly collectible and historic guitar; prototype number 1 of PRS’s CE 22 product line. This instrument comes with a signed letter by Paul Reed Smith himself certifying its status as the first prototype CE 22. The Classic Electric series was among the first mass-production lines of the PRS family, making this guitar a major part of the company’s history. All pageantry aside, this guitar is a fine instrument; with a smooth and straight neck, it’s a real pleasure to play. The dual humbuckers sound great, with a smooth neck sound and a powerful bridge sound. The right most knob actually serves as a 5-way pick-up selector, allowing for lots of blending possibilities. The bolt on maple neck and quilted maple topped mahogany body make for some rich tone and lots of sustain. If you are a PRS collector or player, then don’t pass this one of a kind axe up! Ships in its original hard-shell case.
